Dr. Gary Wadhwa, DDS, MBA
Dr. Wadhwa completed his undergraduate studies and training in Medicine &Dentistry from Government Medical & Dental College, Punjab, India. He then completed advanced training in Oral Surgery and Anesthesiology in India prior to immigrating to the US in 1977.
He continued his education in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Montefiore Hospital of Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY. He was previously affiliated with Albany Medical Center hospital, and now serves as a Chairman of Division of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Albany Memorial hospital. He is a senior partner in a group practice, Adirondack Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Wadhwa completed his MBA from UT in 1999. He then completed a year-long Lean Implementation program from UT. He is actively involved with the Lean Enterprise System and he has been lecturing at Lean Conferences. He completed his training as a Black Belt Six Sigma methodology from Juran Institute and his Master Black Belt training with Sigma Pro. He also received his training as a Black Belt QFD. He is a certified Black Belt Six Sigma with American Society of Quality.
He is co-authoring a book Lean Sigma in Healthcare with his wife. He has a keen interest in System Dynamics and has taken several courses from MIT and Rockefeller School of Public Policy. He received training in Balance Score Card from Balance Score Card collaborative of Drs. Kaplan and Norton from Harvard, and advanced training from Balance Score Card Institute in Washington, DC.
Under his leadership the practice was recently awarded the Governor’s Award of Excellence from Empire State Advantage Program, the highest quality award in NY state.
