Alka Wadhwa MS, MBA

Alka Wadhwa completed her undergraduate studies in Science and Education from Lady Irwin College, New Delhi, India. She played competitive Basketball and was a National Basketball player. She then continued her career in the US completing a Master of Science in Computer Science from State University at Albany, NY.

She subsequently  earned an MBA specializing in Supply Chain Management and MS in Engineering Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY. She worked with GE for 17 years during Jack Welch’s Six Sigma Revolution. At GE she was exposed to optimization, simulations of different Aircraft Engine Algorithms, development of Graphical CAD tools for control designers, Fuzzy logic, intelligent systems, Data Flow Analysis tools and optimization of GE Capital processes.

In 2001, Alka started her own consulting company, Better Solution Consulting, LLC, and now focuses on the service industry, especially healthcare, helping implement Lean Six Sigma tools. Her background in IT systems assists her to implement change process through increased transparency. She has worked extensively with techniques like “Work Out,” “Change Accelerated Processes,” and team simulations.

The leadership skills Alka developed while playing team sports have aided her development of powerful teams in the work place. She consults with diverse companies, ranging from manufacturing, healthcare, financial service firms, and dental laboratories.
