Kenneth C. Gilbert

Kenneth C. Gilbert is the Department Head and Professor in the Statistics, Operations, and Management Science Department at The University of Tennessee. He is a lead faculty member and previous chairman of the Management Science Program within the College of Business.

Dr. Gilbert's research and consulting interests are focused in the areas of production management systems, inventory control systems, supply chain integration, and lean manufacturing. He has worked with numerous organizations, including PepsiCo, Inc. and Georgia Pacific.

Ken serves as a member of the MBA and Aerospace MBA core faculty teams, and he played a key role in developing the content for both programs at UT. He has also taught in the Executive Development Programs of Ashridge Management College, England, and in Germany and Taiwan. He is the recipient of U.T.'s prestigious Keally Award for Outstanding Teaching.

Dr. Gilbert received his M.S. in Mathematics and his Ph.D. in Management Science from The University of Tennessee.

Ken teaches in the Lean Enterprise Systems Design Institute the Maintenace, Repair and Overhaul Program and the Integrated Supply Chain Management Certification Program.
