Melissa Bowers

Melissa Bowers is an Associate Professor in the department of Statistics, Operations, and Management Science. She holds a Ph.D. in Management Science from Clemson University.

Her research interests include production planning and scheduling, production and operations management, and vehicle routing. Missie has published her research in Decision Sciences, European Journal of Operations Research, Interfaces, and other leading journals.

Missy has served as a production planning and scheduling consultant for the Defense Logistics Agency as well as for several large manufacturing organizations.

She also teaches in the MBA and MS programs at Tennessee and Missy has won numerous teaching awards, including the prestigious Keally Award.
